Your gifts of time, talent, and treasure are essential to the mission and ministry of St Luke’s. Pledges currently account for over half of St Luke’s annual budget.

As you prayerfully plan your 2027 pledge, please also consider including St Luke’s among the charitable organizations included in your estate and insurance plans, and as a way of memorializing loved ones.

Pledging FAQ

  • Pledges are promises of support for the upcoming year. While every dollar, pledged or not, helps support the ministry of our parish, a pledge is a considered commitment of time and the gifts of your skills and resources to help our ministries plan and our vestry to craft a budget. Your pledge allows us to more precisely budget for the year ahead and be wise stewards of your support.

  • Not to worry! We are grateful for every form of support, no matter the size. If your anticipated giving amount needs to shift significantly, please email stewardship@stlukesforesthills.org to give us a heads up.

  • No. Your pledge, no matter the amount, is a valued and valuable investment in the shared ministry of our parish.

  • Yes! Currently pledges and financial donations make up 62% of our budget. Fundraisers make up around 10%, and rental income supplies 18%. The rest is drawn from our modest reserves (about the size of one year’s budget). St Luke’s relies on your support to remain healthy long into the future.

  • Just because your skill or passion isn’t one we usually recruit for does not mean it’s not needed! St Luke’s is always stronger when parishioners bring what they are most passionate about to the table. Just email the stewardship team at stewardship@stlukesforesthills.org or speak to the clergy.
